Patricia Van Cauwenberge

Patricia Van Cauwenberge was born in Brussels on the 13th of december 1961.
Between 1969 and 1980 She studied classical dance with Nicole Hanot and Emilio Altes and she had been initiated to Flamenco, Sévillianas and Armenian dances
In 1978 She was accepted full time in the Mudra school. She had lessons with Jacques Saussin and the star of Bolchoï , Plizetski
In 1988 She discovered West African traditional dances with Ken N’Diaye (Sénégal), Mama Camara (Guinée), Issa Saw (Sénégal), Dudu N’Diaye Rose Junior (Sénégal).
1998 She studied in Argentina, Belgium and Canada the boleadoras’s dances and Argentinean percussions.

Show – tour – recording
2000 - 2001 Tour for the Belgian “Jeunesses musicales” with a show of Argentinean rhythm and dances.
2003 - 2004 European tour with the Cirque du Soleil for the show « Saltimbanco »
2004 Concert « Travelling Voices » of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation , at the “Cirque Royal of Brussels” with the English singer Mélanie Gabriel
2005 She contribute to the CD of Mélanie Gabriel and Thierry Van Roy « Taïga-Maya »
special guest on percussion and dance for the presentation of Karim Baggili’s CD « Cuatro con Cuatro » .
